Making a little splash
Yesterday I uploaded the book, early this morning it went live on Amazon.
My first significant publication for many months and it’s been a lot more work than I imagined at first.
86 000 words and more, thirty-six chapters, and I was editing right up until upload.

It’s got about as much sex in it as anything else I’ve written, and more than some, but it’s longer and deeper, if not harder. The sex is a character, changing with the story, more than just fitting the bits together.
And a necessary part of the story. The two main characters wouldn’t be honest without the sex, and the reader would be unsatisfied. They’d get to the end, think, “they spent the whole time just making eyes at each other and occasionally holding hands? What’s wrong with these people?” and throw the book across the room.
